I picked up a beta stress test game key for this upcoming title when I liked the Company of Heroes Facebook Page yesterday. I have been very eager to play the game because I am not sure I am going to purchase it. I like the old Company of Heroes game as far as it goes but I think I have higher gaming priorities than it. Winter Is Coming... The interface is clunkier than I remember but there are some nice changes to the game like unit customization and weather effects. The blizzard that hit my guys below came as a total surprise and really amped up the immersion level. You can see the bonfire I positioned my Grenadiers next to because I was worried they were going to freeze to death, which apparently is a possibility. German Grenadiers repelling an attack in whiteout conditions. Checkout the bonfire behind them! So the quick verdict after ten minutes of gaming at lunch today, I need to keep playing because I may get this game after all...
