EFCO Platoons: The Tennis Racket

The Lazur Chemical Factory was the scene of some of the fiercest fighting during the battle of Stalingrad.  Today I began work on tracing a satellite map of the Lazur and it's distinctive Tennis Racket shape (a name the German soldiers gave it).

I am creating this map for my next Platoons battle.  My second scenario will put the German player in command of a Pioneer company assigned with taking an objective as part of Operation Hubertus.

The Soviet player will be in command of a Guards Rifle company from the famed 13th Guards.

The Lazur Chemical Factory on the banks of the Volga.

When the Germans were planning to attack the chemical plant, it had already been pulverised.

Maxwell's Marauders: Find the Observation Post

Maxwell’s Marauders, 1st Platoon, C Company of the 7th Marine Regiment is a fictional unit, filled with characters that I have created to deepen my connection to my Squad Battles “ Proud and the Few ” gaming. The New York boys, Bullseye, Sgt. Rock and the rest are going to be persistent characters (unless they die on my digital battlefields) that take me through the War in the Pacific. From Guadalcanal to New Britain to Peleliu and finally Okinawa, the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment served with distinction and so too will Maxwell’s Marauders.
