Eastern Front: Army of the North

The Army of the North is a series of scenarios using my latest map for the Riga AO.  The German 18th army is attempting to prevent encirclement by the Soviet Third Baltic Front as they withdraw to the Courland peninsula northwest of Riga.

So far I have two scenarios I am working on.

Bridges at Kekava: A regiment sized scenario fought SE of Riga during a rainstorm.  The 42nd SS Regt from the 2nd Latvian division turns to fight Soviet armor units as they withdraw west of Riga towards the Courland peninsula.

Fortress Riga:  The Army of the North master scenario with the GE 227th Inf Div, 6th Motorized Flak Div and the 393rd StuG Bde fighting elements of three Soviet divisions.

I have another Soviet scenario called Across the Tartar Ditch which I will post this week for download and then the two Riga scenarios.

Edson's Ridge

September 12, 1942, just before sunset: [Historical scenario] Japanese Major General Kiyotake Kawaguchi has come to Guadalcanal to lead the attack against the Marine foothold on the island at Henderson Airfield. The I and III battalions of the 124th Infantry regiment are to attack from the south, along with the Kuma Battalion, II battalion of the 4th infantry regiment 19th engineer battalion. Kawaguchi will personally lead these battalions. A composite of Japanese engineers, special naval landing troops and the Oka Force, II Bn 124 Inf Rgt are to attack from the West. Command Ops Stalingrad: Race To The Volga - Available for Download

A special thanks to Doug at Cry Havoc blog and Tim Williams at RangerX3X blog for their help in playtesting this scenario.  There were a number of challenges bringing this particular scenario to life and their suggestions were essential to fixing the gameplay issues.
