JTS MW: Storming The Factory

My gaming last night consisted of an attempt to seize the As Samawah Cement Plant from insurgents.  I've lost 4 men so far including a sniper and a Platoon leader.  I've also had a Kiowa Warrior shot out of the sky.  The enemy is embedded within these industrial areas and I find myself trying to isolate them and then assault their positions in order to destroy them.  The smoke indicates where I have an assault underway.  This kind of methodical pin, move to contact and then assault fighting is tedious and I am learning on the fly.  Unfortunately my learning curve has cost me 4 good men.

I found the engine struggled with Modern weapons to be honest.

Hi Jason. Thanks for the comment. How so? I do feel likely they are wildly inaccurate if that is what you mean.

Correct! The way the game abstracts ammo loss and wounds by making the weapon less and less lethal I don't like at all..but it's manageable in WW2 and fine in Vietnam, however in Modern Warfare it really highlights the issue I have with it. Squad Battle would be a far better game, prob the best tactical game released if it had proper ammo counts and be able to set ROF. That and add multi level buildings.

Hi Jason. I don't know about editing the map but it does look like you can adjust a weapons load in the editor. Might be worth trying the at some point. Will look at it some more.

That seems to be an odd way to go about it. A single lucky shot by a severely wounded trooper should kill someone just as easily if they were at full health.
